Aquis 1000 Filter Pads and Media The Aquis 1000 is Britain's best selling canister filter and no surprise, since it offers a full range of filtration options to really polish aquarium water. As above, the polyner wool pad (39w) is thrown away and replaced every month as are a few bio noodles, whilst the blue and black foam pads (39s) and (40s) are rinsed monthly and replaced twice a year.
Aquis 1200 Filter Pads and Media The Aquis 1200 has sufficient space to include just about any filter media the fish keeper could possibly require. Next time you clean the filter, include a new polymer pad and a bag of Advance Carb in the top tray - you will be pleasantly surprised at the increase in water clarity gained overnight. While the filter is open, rinse out the blue and black foam pads or exchange for new ones if they are approaching six months old.
