Test Kits for Tropical AquariumTest Kits for Tropical Aquarium
Tropical setups may contain fish from a variety of tropical, freshwater environments. By optimizing aquarium water quality to closely resemble the natural waters your fish originated from, you will easily achieve the best colour and the longest life from fish that are happy and comfortable in the aquarium setting. You will also gain the best possible early warning system for your aquarium.
Test Kits for Marine AquariumTest Kits for Marine Aquarium
Every marine keeper knows the value of proper marine only test kits. Marine fish and corals require an environment that is exremely stable and the only way to create this is to test and adjust as necessary. We stock the best test kits that are both accurate and economical in use and will produce the best results for your aquarium.

Select your aquarium test kits with care. The life of your fishes will probably depend on it.

There are many different test kits on the market and some appear to be better value than others by being cheaper or longer lasting. However, whichever test kits you choose, be sure and make certain that all basic water parameters are covered.

Every fish keeper needs PH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate test kits. In addition marine keepers need to add a good quality hydrometer, as well as KH test kits and if the aquarium is a reef set up, a minimum of calcium, phosphate test kits.

Set aside 10 minutes at least once per week, to perform your water testing regime. Test kits won't work for you unless you make regular use of them.

A really smart thing to do is to keep an aquarium journal in which you can record test results. It's great to be able to look back on a year or two's test results and see how your setup has developed.

Sadly test kits don't keep. Most manufacturers only guarantee their accuracy for 6 months to a year, so there is no point in conserving them: it's use 'em or lose 'em. So squeeze value out of your test kits by utilizing them regularly to maximise fish, plant and coral health.

Regular water testing will save you both money and stress.
