Tropical Marine Centre V2 Protein Skimmers Inexpensive but very effective, the v2 range have taken the protein skimmer market by storm. All models are very reliable and skim well. The venturi pumps are over specified and therefore unlikely to wear out anytime soon. These v2 skimmers function well straight out of the box and are amongst the easiest protein skimmers for a beginner to set up from scratch.
Although the little v2 400 is excellent value and works well, it is worth, in our opinion, spending a little more for one of the slightly large models which feature the excellent basket bubble diffuser and locking scum cup.
