Hagen Elite Aquarium Heaters As usual we have superb value for money from Hagen's Elite sub-brand. The Elite heater has features normally only seen in more expensive heaters. Check out the thermometer style adjustment scale, the two year warranty and the built in heater bottom guard. A well rounded good quality heater for most aquariums.
Hagen Tronic Aquarium Heaters This is an accurate heater capable of producing a very stable temperature within medium and large volume aquariums. The thermostat has no moving parts what so ever and the external temperature sensor means that there is little lag between fractional aquarium cooling and heater activation.
Aqua One Aquarium Heaters This is the toughest, best value heater we know of. Relatively easy to set and forget with good heating capacity and a great three year warranty package the AquaOne heaters come in a good range of sizes from a tiny 55w baby to a strapping 300w bruiser. We didn't think that the Australians knew much about heating aquariums - it seems we were wrong.
Visitherm Aquarium Heaters The great granddad of them all, the Visitherm rewrote the heater rule book when it first appeared, by being so very easy to set, so light weight (so suckers last longer) and so fast responding (due to the heating element being packed in glass tubes which reflect more heat back into the aquarium.) Add in matchless reliability backed by the five year warranty and you have our favourite heater/stat.
Aquarium Heater Spares & Accessories
Aquarium Heater Spares & Accessories It's essential to set your heater via a good thermometer - you cannot rely on even the best heaters having an accurate scale. In addition a decent thermometer will act as a great early warning system should your heater start to act up at the end of it's life.
The Aqua Minder is another great accessory which will warn you about over, or under heating in your aquarium as well as reminding you about water changes and filter maintenance. The Aqua Minder is cheap insurance and well worth checking out.
