AquaMode Cartridges and Filter Pads Maintain the performance of the AquaMode aquarium trickle filter by regularly replacing the supplied carbon cartridge or polymer wool pad. Some heavily stocked aquariums will require 3 to 4 weekly pad or cartridge changes, whilst most aquariums with average stock levels will require new filter pads every six weeks.
AquaStyle Cartridges and Filter Pads The overhead trickle filter fitted to all AquaStyle aquariums is large and hugely efficient. In order to maintain the filter effectively, it's best to change the top-most carbon and wool filter cartridge every 4 to 6 weeks. The black foam pad will wash out several times, but should be replaced at least every six months. Do remember to wash the black foam pad in aquarium water only.
UFO Cartridges and Filter Pads The UFO 550, 700 and 880 aquariums all feature specially fitted and designed trickle filters which are placed at the rear of the aquarium canopy. The top polymer wool layer should be exchanged every four weeks for a fresh bonded pad, while the lower black sponge may be washed in a little aquarium water and never under the tap. The sponge should be replaced with a new sheet around twice per year.
